The quiet question

The calendar goes quiet. The work that gave the days their shape is finished. And somewhere in the stillness, a question settles in: Do I still matter?
If you’ve felt that, you’re not alone, and you’re not wrong to ask. But it isn’t the end of the story. It might be the start of the most fruitful one.
The good news
God isn’t done with you.
God’s plan for your life didn’t come with an expiration date. The same Lord who chose you and appointed you to bear fruit hasn’t changed His mind at 65, or 75, or 95.
For many of us, these are the years we finally have the time, the wisdom, and the freedom to live that calling fully. Not a long dimming. A harvest.

I believe the answer is already written into John 15. We were chosen and appointed to bear fruit that lasts, and nothing in that promise retires at 65. Too many faithful people are sitting on wisdom the church needs, quietly wondering whether they still matter.
