You’re trusting us with your name, your story, and sometimes your church. Here’s exactly what we collect, why, and how to change your mind.

The short version

  • We collect only what you choose to tell us through our forms, plus the basic visit data our website host (Squarespace) gathers for every site.
  • We use it to answer you, to send what you asked for, and, only if you tick the box, to send FruitFul news and resources.
  • Your answers are kept in our Google Workspace account (Google Sheets and Gmail), seen only by our small team.
  • We never sell or share your information for anyone else’s marketing.
  • You can stop our emails any time, and you can ask us to show, correct, or delete what we hold about you.

Who we are

This website, fruitfulretirement.org, is run by FruitFul: Retirement Reformation (“FruitFul”, “we”, “us”), a Colorado nonprofit corporation and the new name of Retirement Reformation.

This policy explains what we collect on this website, why, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the emails we send from it. Other sites we link to (for example Amazon, Ato, or retirementreformation.org) have their own policies.

What we collect

What you tell us

Our signup form asks different questions depending on who you are. We only receive the questions you see and answer.

If you…We ask for
Join our email listFirst name, email address, and whether you’d like FruitFul news and resources.
Sign up for yourselfYour season of life, what interests you (for example the free guide or a small group), and optionally your church and state.
Sign up for someone you loveYour relationship to them and, optionally, their season of life, what would help, and your state. We don’t ask for their name or contact details.
Sign up for your churchChurch name, your role, typical attendance, city, state, and what you’re interested in.
Sign up for your ministry or organizationOrganization name, your role, optionally its website, and how we might work together.
Want to support FruitFulWhether you’d like updates, to pray, or to talk about giving, and an optional message.
Send us a noteYour message.

Every path then asks for your first name and email address. Some also ask for your last name, a phone number, how you prefer to be reached, and how you heard about us. Phone numbers are asked only of churches, organizations, and supporters, and are required only if you ask us to call.

If you book a conversation with us, our booking page (run by Calendly) asks for your name, your email, and a couple of questions about who you are, and then puts the meeting on our calendar. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.

Please don’t send us sensitive details, such as health or financial information, in a message box. We don’t need them.

What is collected automatically

  • With your form answers: the page you were on, the page that sent you to us, any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as “utm_source”), the form version, and how long the form took to fill in. We use these to understand which invitations work and to filter out spam robots.
  • By our website host, Squarespace: like every Squarespace site, ours uses cookies and collects information about your browser, device, and network, your IP address, the pages you visit, and the site that referred you. This powers basic visitor statistics for us. See “Cookies” below.
  • Fonts: our typefaces load from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google to download them, which shares your IP address with Google.

What we don’t collect

We don’t take payments on this website itself. If you give online, your payment is handled by our giving processor under its own privacy policy, and we receive only what we need to thank you and send a receipt. We don’t buy mailing lists, and we don’t use advertising trackers.

How we use it

  • To reply to you and to send what you asked for, such as a confirmation email, the free guide, or a time to talk.
  • To send FruitFul news and resources, only if you tick the box that says so.
  • To understand who we’re serving (for example, which seasons of life or which states), so we can build what helps.
  • To keep the website and our forms safe from spam and misuse.
  • To meet legal obligations, if any apply.

A little help writing back

We want to answer you personally, and quickly. To do that, we may use an AI writing assistant to help draft our replies to what you send us. A member of our team oversees those replies. Your message is shared with the AI service only to draft that reply.

We never use AI, or any automated system, to make decisions about you, and we don’t build advertising profiles.

Our emails, and how to stop them

When you send a form, we’ll reply to what you sent us, and we may also send a short note right away to confirm we received it. Those emails are part of answering you, not a mailing list.

FruitFul news and resources go only to people who ticked “Yes, email me FruitFul news and resources.” To stop them at any time, reply to any of our emails with the word “unsubscribe”, or write to hello@fruitfulretirement.org. We’ll take you off the list promptly, and we keep a short note of your address and the date so we don’t email you again by mistake. When we send newsletters through our email provider, every one includes an unsubscribe link too.

Where it’s stored, and who can see it

Your form answers are stored in FruitFul’s Google Workspace account, in a Google Sheet that only named members of our team can open. New-signup alerts and replies are handled in our team’s Google Workspace email. Bookings are made through Calendly and then placed on our calendar.

We rely on a few service providers to run the site. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:

  • Google Workspace (Sheets, Gmail, Drive): stores form answers and sends our emails. Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
  • Calendly: runs our “Book a conversation” page and schedules the meeting. Calendly’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
  • An AI writing service: to help draft replies to messages you send us.
  • Squarespace: hosts this website and provides visitor statistics. Squarespace’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
  • Our email provider and our giving processor, when we use them: to send newsletters to people who asked for them, and to process gifts. Each has its own privacy policy.

These providers may store information on servers in the United States or other countries.

No selling, no sharing for marketing

We never sell or share your information for anyone else’s marketing. We don’t sell, rent, or trade it, ever.

We share it only:

  • with the service providers listed above, to run this website and our email;
  • when you ask us to, for example if you ask us to introduce you to someone; and
  • if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the security of our services.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our site uses the cookies Squarespace places on every site it hosts:

  • Necessary cookies keep the site secure and working (for example, protecting forms from forgery). They can’t be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies help us see how many people visit and which pages they read. They’re used only after you accept our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.

Squarespace lists each cookie and how long it lasts on The cookies Squarespace uses (opens in a new tab). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Our own signup form doesn’t store anything in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep information only as long as it’s useful for the reason you gave it to us:

  • Launch list: until you unsubscribe, or 24 months after launch if we haven’t heard from you in that time.
  • Form answers and conversations: 3 years after our last contact with you.
  • Suspected spam: reviewed and deleted within 90 days.
  • Unsubscribe requests: just your email address and the date, kept so we honor your choice.

Squarespace keeps its visitor statistics under its own policy.

Keeping it safe

Your answers live in our Google Workspace account, not on this website. Access is limited to named team members, who sign in with 2-step verification, and our records are never shared by public link. No method of storing or sending information is perfectly secure, but we take care with what you trust us with.

Children

FruitFul is for adults. This website isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to hello@fruitfulretirement.org and we’ll delete it.

Your choices and rights

Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything that’s wrong;
  • delete your information; and
  • stop emailing you.

Write to hello@fruitfulretirement.org from the email address you used with us. We may ask a simple question to confirm it’s you, and we’ll reply within 45 days, usually much sooner. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.

Colorado residents

FruitFul is based in Colorado. The Colorado Privacy Act gives Colorado residents rights to access, correct, delete, and get a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. The Act applies to nonprofits only above certain size thresholds, and we may not be covered by it. Either way, we honor these requests from anyone. We don’t sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or profile people in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects. If you’re not satisfied with our answer to a request, write to us again and we’ll review it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll say so clearly on the site, or by email if you’re on our list.
